The latest episode of Cartoon Network’s animated continuation of Michael Jai White’s blaxploitation throwback tackles Christmas, the Space Race, and O.J. Simpson (“The most likable black man of all time,” according to Walter Cronkite) with gleeful irreverence and irreverent glee. If that summary sounds too tame for your tastes, worry not: an abandoned Soviet space chimp, a tribe of Amazon Moon B*tches, and Black Santa Claus arrive in the third act to deliver the “anything-goes” attitude that fans of the 2009 film fell in love with. The whole Holiday package is topped off with a simplistic moral (“Remember to be yourself and appreciate others for who they are”) that brings to mind the classic image of Mr. T cracking open a fortune cookie.

If only somebody on the production team had slapped a “Do Not Air Until X-Mas” sticker on this sucker…
